CORPORATE Breakfast at the Hospice
The Heart of Kent Hospice in Aylesford, near Maidstone, will be hosting a free networking breakfast on Tuesday 9th June 2009 from 7.30am-9.00am for local business people.
Business supporters will be given the opportunity to meet informally with hospice executives to discuss how their support has helped the hospice deliver services to patients with life threatening illnesses. It is also a way of meeting other movers and shakers from the local community.
Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be served to participants, who may also if they wish, have a guided tour of the hospice to see the newly refurbished ward area. Our executive team will also be on hand to meet you.
You must book your place in advance to attend this networking breakfast meeting. Please contact Caroline Brinkman, Corporate Fundraiser on 01622 790195 or e-mail http://www.caroline.brinkman@hokh.co.uk

Notes to Editor
The Heart of Kent hospice is the local hospice caring for seriously ill people and their families from Maidstone, Aylesford and surrounding area. The Hospice is a specialist palliative care unit whose purpose is to provide expert care and support for patients with advanced cancer, motor neurone disease, or other life- threatening illnesses where curative treatment is no longer possible. At any one time the hospice is caring for 350 patients with beds available for up to 12 inpatients and 80-day therapy and many are cared for in the community.
Care and support is also given to families of the patients, and especially to their children. Hospice care is free, and this year £3 million is required to cover running costs, and with only 29% generated from local government we continue to be heavily dependant on the generosity of our local community.
