Summer season of Shakespeare

Kent has an abundance of great summer events, one of them being outdoor performances of Shakespeare plays.

In 2008, Pillory Barn won the tender for the PR and marketing campaign to promote the performance of a midsummer summer night’s dream across the county. The plays were a collaboration between the Hazlitt Arts Centre and The Changeling.

Armed with a new challenge and passion for what was set to be a fantastic summer performance, Pillory Barn delivered a coordinated marketing public relations plan that was valued at more than £37k.

The Results

The highlights of the results included the following:
• Front cover feature in Kent’s largest entertainment guide
• Two news items on ITV Meridian
• Radio interviews with Director
• Profile of Director and cast in local media
• Sell out of selected performances

Pillory Barn have also won the tender for this year’s The Merchant of Venice with the Hazlitt Arts Centre and The Changeling.

This will be touring Kent in July and August – watch this space!
