Hello Herne Bay
Herne Bay is well known for its traditional seaside fun and annual air show, but this destination marketing campaign set out to show there is a lot more to discover – from cultural corners and themed eateries to vibrant independent shops.
When it comes to doing projects, we love a team wide approach and the Hello Herne Bay campaign was no different – complete with a team away day challenge aimed at getting the full picture of everything this coastal town has to offer.
Having won over Canterbury City Council with our ‘Hello Herne Bay’ concept, we set out on our mission to improve the town’s image as a day trip destination. Our designer Kelly created an identity for the town which captured its character and fun – arguably the strongest coastal town identity in Kent right now.
The result? A vibrant social media campaign with over 60K monthly reach, coverage in regional lifestyle publications, attention-grabbing bus ads and a marketing campaign that is not only getting Kent (+ places further afield) talking but providing pride (and promotion) to those who live and run businesses in Herne Bay.
