Sevenoaks as a town is well known but the challenge the wider district faced was to showing there was so much more this diverse and beautiful part of Kent than just a commuter belt favourite. We needed to challenge pre-conceived perceptions and showcase the potential of a place that has so much more going on – revealing the district as the place to be.

What did we do?

We worked closely with Sevenoaks District Council to deliver a place brand campaign that would encourage more people to visit, build their business and attract new investment. This resulted in the launch of the So Much More campaign with a range of data led marketing activity highlighting the area’s USPs – from breathtaking countryside, vibrant towns and villages and rich heritage, just 30 minutes from the heart of London.

It included a series of video and written case studies from local business owners, entrepreneurs and residents about life in Sevenoaks district, sharing their stories and inspiration with the world.

How did we do it?

We used the outcome of extensive research and workshops with residents, local businesses, community groups and the expertise and insights of officials within the district council itself to develop a full brand for the district. This was supported by a place ‘portal’ website to showcase the area’s core strengths, with details on the best things to see and do in the area as well as guidance for businesses and future residents to build their future in Sevenoaks.

What was the result?

The campaign has been shared across social media, regional and national media backed by an advertising campaign. The launch in June 2022 secured extensive media coverage and has enjoyed high levels of engagement online.
